FOC Referee Seminar and Hands-On Foil and Sabre Priority Clinic with Matt Cox and Darius Wei
Sunday, Dec 1, 9am-5pm
This seminar fulfills the official FOC seminar requirement; participants will be cleared to take both the written and practical referee exams.
The material will be delivered in what Matt calls a "lab environment". Participants will not only learn the rules and conventions of fencing, but gain hands-on experience interpreting and discussing live action demonstrations.
Discussion of the rules will be informed by Matt and Darius' experiences refereeing, coaching, and fencing at all levels of the sport. Not just for aspiring referees, this seminar will be helpful for athletes, coaches, and parents who want to learn the finer details of refereeing and how they impact the game.
Instructors:
