Join Fencing Masters John Krauss and Paul Sise for this intermediate level weekend coaching clinic. Coaches will learn how to give tactical lessons that progress from simple to complex.
The clinic will be taught by John Krauss of the Down East School of Fencing and Paul Sise of Pioneer Valley Fencing Academy. Paul and John have experience teaching similar clinics together and are very excited to be bringing this clinic to you in the Baltimore area.
Fencers are also encouraged to attend to take all the lessons that the coaches will be giving!

This is an Intermediate level coaching clinic that will focus on the tactical elements of lessons. Coaches will learn how to give basic and more advanced options lessons that are suitable for more competitive students.
Topics include:
Tactical Footwork
Variety in Cueing
Attacks and Ripostes
Second Intention
Infighting
Basic Options Lesson
Moving from Beginner to Competitive Difficulty lessons
Advanced Options Lesson
For those who are interested, the USFCA's Moniteur level practical exam will be offered in foil, epee, and saber.
USFCA Certification Examination procedures for Moniteur Level:

-USFCA Membership
-Website Password and User ID - To take on-line written test
-Pass Moniteur written test.
-Payment of exam fees to USFCA
-Contact Paul Sise at paul.sise@pioneerfencing.com to schedule the practical exam.
1. Go to http://www.usfca.org.
2. To Register for exam and to pay membership on-line at http://www.usfca.org, you will need to create a website login user ID and password to use the on-line registration process. Go to http://www.usfca.org. On the left of the Home webpage, click "Register" and follow the procedures to obtain a User ID/Password.
3. After you are able to log onto the website, go to "Membership" on the top menu and follow procedure to join the USFCA on-line.
4. Then, go to "Certification", and read the information and follow procedures to take an examination.
5) IMPORTANT - Bring proof of passing the written exam and proof of paying for the practical exam to the clinic. (Print out and bring a receipt of payment for the practical and the written exam grade.)
Please pay all examination fees to the USFCA on-line at http://www.usfca.org.
You must take the on-line written test and pass before the clinic.
