Olympia Fencing Center presents the 2018 sleepover camp, featuring a stellar team of coaches and international guests:

� José Luis Abajo, Olympic and World medalist, 2006 and 2008, inducted in the Hall of Fame of the International Fencing Federation in 2013.
� Daniel Hondor, Olympia's Founder and Director.
� Julian Rueda Espinosa, former coach of the Colombian National Team.
� Jake Raynis, Bronze medalist 2013 Junior World Championships, Porec, Croatia.
� Bill Shipman, former Head Coach of the fencing program at Brandeis U.
� Alejandra Maria Trumble, Ivy League champion, former UPenn Épée Team Captain, recognized as the fencer with the most wins EVER, in the university’s history.
� Alexandra Predescu, World Champion, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Cadet WE 2016, ranked 1st in the world in 2016.
� Pauline Chretien, former member of France National Épée Team.


Olympia Fencing Center is New England’s premier fencing club, recipient of the numerous awards and titles.
Our students are multiple national and international medalists, five times in a row Pomme Terre champions, double champions at the 2017 and 2018 Junior Olympics, in Cadets and Juniors Men’s and Women’s Epee.

Three of the six 2018 US Cadet Epee World Team are Olympia students and camp attendees!

The camp is épée exclusively and is geared toward competitive fencers, ages 14 and up, to advance their training and bring them close to their goals.
Group and individual, physical and tactical instruction, is provided by Olympia’s coaches and special guests.

Advanced fencers under 13 can sign up for the day camp only, with a reduced fee.

When: July 30 – August 3, 2018
(arrival on Sunday 07/29, check out on Saturday, 08/04)
Time: 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM
Where: Brandeis University, Gosman Athletic Center.

Residential accommodation is provided at Brandeis University dormitories.
Arrival in the campus on Sunday, July 29, after 4:30 PM, check out on Saturday, August 4th, by noon.
(Out of state fencers email if needed, for other arrival/departure arrangements).

Fees include room and board, 3 meals per day (excluding the last day of the camp), and amenities on campus.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner, hot meals, will be served three times a day, there are numerous restaurants in walking distance as well.

Food consists of an an assortment of hot and cold foods, pizza, salad, sandwiches.
Breakfast is hot, cereal or pastries, etc., cafeteria style.
Breakfast: 7:30am-9:00am
Lunch: 11:30am-2:00pm
Dinner: 5:00pm-7:00pm

Rooms have beds, desks, closets. Group bathrooms.
What you need to bring: beside your full fencing gear, phone, fan, money for laundry.
The dorms are a five-ten minute walk from the gym (locker rooms provided).

Nurses are available on the campus, 9:00AM-5:00PM.

Camp structure:
- Camp day starts at 9:00 AM.
- Three daily sessions: footwork, group blade work exercises, lessons in fencing theory, team events and electric bouting. Each fencer will receive individual lessons and personalized advice based on one's performance.
- Private lessons with Coach Daniel Hondor is included, the scheduling will happen on the first day of camp.


Type: residential camp with commuter option.
Residential Fee: $1550.00
Commuter Fee: $1150.00
