The Seminar:

An absolute must for anyone planning to attend an Ivy League or any other university with a fencing program. This seminar will help any college-bound student and parents in understanding the college recruiting process and increasing their chances of getting into the school of their choice.

Topics include:

- Importance of Grades, Tests, Extracurricular Activity, Honor Programs, and Essays
- Preparing for a Recruitment Meeting
- The “Coaches List”
- Preparing for the College Interview
- Athletic Scholarships
- Important Test Dates

The Speaker:

Michael Aufrichtig has completed his seventh year as head men’s and women’s fencing coach for Columbia University. During his tenure the Men and Women’s Teams were the 2016 and 2017 NCAA Champions, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 Men’s Ivy League Champions, and 2015, 2016, 2018 Women’s Ivy League Champions. Michael is also the Chairman of the Fencing Program at the New York Athletic Club.
