Target Audience: Novice, Aide-Moniteur, and Moniteur level sabre coaches or experienced coaches looking for continuing education

Cost: $200 non-USFCA Members, $150 USFCA members

Clinic Overview: Cutting Edge Fencing’s 2019 Coaching Clinic will focus on individual lesson instruction including the technical elements of cuing, calibration, fixing, and release. The clinic will also present integration of private lessons into the overall training prgram and skill progrsssion. Pedagogy utilizing both blade and distance will be presented with an emphasis on footwork preparations as applied to the coach. Participants will develop 3 different lessons over the course of the weekend - one focusing on offensive actions, one focusing on defensive actions and one focusing on actions from the guard lines. Attendees are encouraged to bring a student or students to work with, otherwise students will be provided from the host club (students will have the opportunity to work with various different instructors over the course of the weekend).

The off-the line lesson
