Fencers will work with Maria Luisa Doig Calderon, 2008 Olympic Foil Competitor, and current top 50 FIE Women's Epee point-lister. Maria will lead class via Zoom, in-person coaches will be present to assist fencers with training. $70.
Fencers will work with Maria Luisa Doig Calderon, 2008 Olympic Foil Competitor, and current top 50 FIE Women's Epee point-lister. Maria will lead class via Zoom, in-person coaches will be present to assist fencers with training. Class will be in person at Salle Palasz. Cost: $70.
Maria will lead the fencers through warm ups, footwork, and athletic exercises to improve foundational elements of fencing.
Then the on-site coaches will lead fencers through drills presented by Maria while Maria observes fencers bouting and gives one on one feedback and insights on their performance.
Due to travel restrictions Maria will be participating via Zoom. The club has several large TVs mounted on which she will be screened for fencers to clearly see and interact.
Fencers will arrive and get ready between 12:30pm and 1:00pm
At 1:00pm Maria will begin leading group warms ups drills and training exercises.
From 2:45 to 6:15 Coach BJ and Coach Aidan will lead the group through blade-work drills provided by Maria, while fencers are rotated out to fence while Maria observes them and then provides feedback, giving fencers access to individual feedback from a successful international competitor.
