GRAFA Foil and Epee Camp with GRAFA Coaches Mikhail & Arkadiy Sarkisov

This is a second of series of four quarterly camps.

This camp is focused on building "Mental Resilience" in our students in both sports as well as their everyday lives. The instruction and exercises taught in this camp are meant to help students feel more prepared to tackle the challenges that come with practices, camps, competitions, academic studies and more. They will learn to move through life with confidence, helping them to thrive in all their endeavours.

The training and exercises are tailored accordingly to the age of the fencers, for students as young as 7-10 years old and all the way through high school.

Maestros Mikhail and Arkadiy Sarkisov, the head coaches of GRAFA, Both Maestros hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Azerbaijan University of Physical Education and a Masters degree in Fencing.They were Gold Medalists of the Soviet Union Championship in 1985, medalists at the USSR Nationals from 1986-1989 and finalists at the World Cup and Student World Game competitions. During 1988-1989 season, Maestro Mikhail competed for Ukrainian National men's foil team.

In 2005 Maestro Mikhail Sarkisov has been recognized by US Olympic Committee as Developmental Coach of the Year.

During 2006-2009 season both Maestros coached US Cadets and Juniors Women Foil traveling team, helping them to earn numerous medals at European Cadets Circuit and Junior World Cups.
Both Maestros trained 8 USA National Champions in different age groups and Divisions, including Div1 top 8 results.
Several of the Maestros student successfully fenced on NCAA Championships, earning First Team All American, Honor and All American Recognition competing for the universities such as Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Temple, NYU, Cornell, Boston College and UNC

• This camp is subject to the state of Michigan laws and orders regarding COVID-19, including assembly of persons
• COVID-19 Protocols will be implemented throughout the the entire camp. There will be no exceptions.

AT THIS POINT, THE CAMP IS LIMITED TO ONLY 30 FENCERS.

THE FULL PAYMENT REQUIRED TO COMPLETE REGISTRATION AND RESERVE THE SPOT IN THE CAMP

Tuition:
$250.00 including the meals. (Lunch provided every day)

Due to COVID awareness we ill not be offering "host family" accommodation option. Please contact Maestro Mikhail for recommendation on accommodations

Lunch, snacks, hydration drinks for the both days of the camp will be provided by GRAFA.

Day 1 lunch will be catered by local pizza parlor.
Day 2 lunch will be catered by local sandwich shop

Fri. 12/02

6:30 PM -7 PM Registration.
7-9PM Open fencing and evaluation of the fencers.

Sat. 12/03

10AM - 12:30 PM
1:30 PM - 4PM

Sunday 12/04

11:00AM -12:30PM
12:30PM- 1:30PM Lunch
1:30PM - 3:45PM

3:45-4:00 PM Social time, during this time fencers must be picked up by their parents.

4pm -GRAFA closed

Preregistration opens on 10/08/2022.
Preregistration closes on 12/01/2022.
