This is a series of tournaments aimed

This is a series of North Texas Division youth tournaments aimed at preparing unrated beginner youth fencers (and their parents) for competitions. Cumulative points will be kept over the series, much like the Section and Regional Youth Circuit tournaments. REQUIREMENTS
a) Fencers must be members of the US Fencing Association and complete the North Texas competition waiver. ("Unrated" means you have not earned a classification in that weapon yet.) Membership forms will be available at the tournaments; however, a parent's signature is required on the form. USFA Membership fees are paid to the USFA - check or credit card please.
b) All competitors have at registration a North Texas Division "waiver of liability and consent for medical treatment" form signed by their parent or legal guardian.
c) Fencers may participate in baseball pants or cotton sweat pants without pockets. Names on uniforms are not a requirement at this level, but will be required at a National tournament. Since these events are designed to be a child's first tournament experience, we will allow sharing of equipment and not require two weapons and body cords per fencer. All other requirements for apparel and equipment will be enforced (for insurance purposes).
d) Masks and equipment checks will be performed. Please arrive early enough to register and have your equipment checked before the posted closing time for registration of your event.
e) You must be UNRATED to fence in this tournament. Under current USFA rules, NO RATINGS MAY BE EARNED at this tournament.
AWARDS
Separate awards will be given for girls and boys for first through third (third will not be fenced off)in each event of the tournament; however, the events will be fenced mixed.

Y8* 1998-2000
Y10 1996-1999
Y12 1994-1997
Fencers will be divided into age groups if there are at least 6 fencers in each age group. Otherwise, all age groups will fence as one event. If your birth year falls into two age categories, you should select the age group you prefer to fence.
*Y8 is not a USFA age category.

The Club will open at 10 AM
Epee registration closes at 11 AM
Foil registration closes at Noon
Saber registration closes at 1:30 PM
