NJ Division Y14,Div 2/3 & Vet Summer Nat Qualifier Apr 11, 2015 - Apr 12, 2015
This is the qualifier for Y14, Div 2 and Div 3 for the Summer Nationals. Also a Veterans qualifier. This tournament is open only to members of the New Jersey Division. Registration opens on 2/1/15 with a fee of $40. Late registration ($80) begins April 3.

Y14, Division II & III and Vet. Summer National Qualifiers

This tournament is the qualification path for New Jersey fencers who wish to compete in the Division II or Division III Summer National events and who have not already qualifed for Div 1A/2/3 through a ROC event. One registration, one event with two outcomes, one for Div 2 and the other for Div 3. Also, veterans qualify by participating in this event.

The Y14 Qualifier is an event for Y14 fencers who wish to qualify for the Y14 Summer National event and have not already done so through the SYC/RYC events.

Auto qualifiers - Fencers that are already qualified are welcome to compete in these events provided they meet all other membership and rating criteria.

Format: Div 2/3/Vet - one round of pools, top 80% to DEs. Y14 - one round of pools, 100% promotion to DEs.

Senior fencers can auto-qualify by their finish order at a ROC event. Check the auto qualify list in the Summer National info at US Fencing.org.

At the NJ Division Y14,Div 2/3/Vet Qualifier, fencers must fence and finish in the top 25% of the event to qualify. Veteran fencers can qualify for their summer national events by participating in this tournament.

Open to New Jersey Division Fencers with a C, D, E or no classification. Fencers must be US citizen or permanent US residents to participate in this tournament and the Summer National Championships. Your USA Fencing membership must indicate New Jersey Division and that you represent the USA.

Preregistration opens on 01/31/2015.
Preregistration closes on 04/09/2015.

The Y14 events are for birthyears 2000-2003, unless the fencer is on the National Youth 12 Point List as of the entry deadline for this tournament. Fencers must be US citizen or permanent US residents to participate in this tournament and the Summer National Championships.

"Senior" refers to a USFA requirement that all fencers participating in open events must have birth years of 2001 and earlier.

Entry Fees: On time registration is $40. Late registration starts on April 3. The late registration fee will be $80. Online entry at the $80 rate will be available through April 9. Registration at the door will be $100. There are no exceptions to this policy. Fencers are considered registered when their names appear on the "Who's Preregistered?" list on the askFred listing for this tournament. You are not fully registered if your name appears as "incomplete" in this listing.

USFA and Waiver Information: You must have a valid USFA membership or join the USFA at the event. Because the tournament includes fencers under the age of 18, all fencers who are under 18 and their parents must also sign the waiver form attached to the confirmation email and bring the waiver to the tournament or sign a waiver at the door. The waiver can also be downloaded from the link given above.

Equipment Check and Attire: Masks, body cords, lames, and sabre cuffs will be checked. All fencers are expected to wear full fencing attire and bring at least two weapons and body cords that meet USFA requirements. There are no exceptions to the attire and equipment rules.
