This event is for sabre, foil and epee fencers who are looking for competitive experience. Non-RFC fencers are always welcome! Please note that registration CLOSES at 12:30pm.
FORMAT: One or two rounds of pools (depending on number of participants,) followed by direct elimination rounds - 10-touch bouts/ two 2-minute periods; fence-off for every place (depending on numbers)– A LOT OF FENCING!
Points for placing in these events will be awarded as follows:
1st place = 15 points
2nd place = 14 points
3rd place = 13 points
etc.
(If there are fewer than 16 participants, subtract 5 points for each place.)
You can earn prizes and galaxy-wide bragging rights by compiling big point totals through the season.
DATES AND TIMES FOR THE 2015-2016 SEASON*
Check in ends at 12:30pm and fencing begins at 1pm. Please show up before the start time to make sure that registration is complete.
All dates listed are Saturdays. We will be holding a Flower City Youth Cup in March and May that will replace the RFC Challenges.
