The 2nd Annual Yung CupJun 4, 2017
Veterans Women and Men Sabre Tournament: June 4th, 2017; followed by dinner and wine. All fencers will receive a commemorative Yung Cup wine glass (you can start using it at the event:) This event also earns points toward the Tri State Vet Cup.

Preregistration through AskFred is required so we can order glasses, dinner, and refereeing.
Dinner Sign-up:
You can sign up for the dinner by email the organizer, and pay $30 at the door. The dinner is informal, will take place at the salle, and will include ribs, chicken, and side dishes (e.g., mac and cheese, baked beans, etc.), and wine and beer.
Event is officially sanctioned by the South Jersey Division of USFA. 2016-17 USFA Competitive membership is required. Please bring membership card or printed out proof from your profile on USFencing Railstation. Must wear regulation attire, including plastron, and have at least 1 extra weapon, body & mask cord. Must age-qualify under current USFA age category: http://www.usfencing.org/page/show/698393-age-and-classification-eligibility. The event will, of course, have rated referees.
Wang Yung has been fencing for over forty years and has been coaching for over 20. He earned his Maitre de Sabre certification in 2009 from the US Fencing Coaches Association. His certification is recognized by the 17 country members of the Acadamie d'Armes Internationale, the international fencing coaches organization. He is the current Certification and Accreditation Board Chair of the USFCA responsible for the training, testing and certification of fencing coaches in the USFCA.
Maitre Yung has trained fencers domestic and foreign. His fencers competed in cadet, junior, senior and veteran levels in domestic and international tournaments including the Olympics. The record for his two students over the last six Veteran World Championships include 7 individual golds, 4 individual silvers, and 4 team golds.
Wang Yung, the fencer, has been on 14 US Veteran World Teams and has won 7 Veteran World Championships medals including individual and team golds.
Infinity Fencing Alliance is a 3,300 sq ft facility with wooden floors, 7 FIE size regulation strips with state-of-the-art VSM computerized scoring machines and free Wifi. We have a waiting area, an excellent restaurant next door and several good restaurants and convenience stores within 2 miles, excellent parking and plenty of water and Gatorade for a nominal fee.

-------------------------------- Information on the Tri State Vet Cup:
This event is one of the 6 tournaments of the 2016-2017 Tri-State Saber Veteran Cup. In addition to awards for each individual tournament, the Top 3 MS finishers and the Top 3 WS finishers in the point standings for the Cup will receive awards at the end of the season.
Points for each fencer in the point standings will be calculated as follows:
1. The sum of that fencers 4 best scores across the 6 events (if a fencer fences in fewer than 4 events, their points will reflect the results from each of the events fenced)
2. Points awarded at each event will vary based on the number and letter rating of participants: a. Each participating fencer will be assigned a value based on their rating (U=2, E=3, D=4, C=5, B=6, A=7) b. Each fencer will earns the number of points equal to the total value of all the fencers who finish below them, plus 2 points.
