Infinity Fencing Alliance Youth Cup: King of the Hill: Cup #3

The King of the Hill Cup is a points-driven six event series competition: the more events you attend and the better you do, the more points you score. Winner of the Cup will be based on highest number of points across all events, per age group. Top in each age group and gender earns a trophy (and bragging rights until next year:-), and the rest earn medals up to 8th place. Point standings will be announced at the 3rd Cup in March, and then the final cup in June.


Events Scheduled:

Unrated Y10 Mixed Saber: Check-in closes 9:30am
Unrated Y12 Mixed Saber: Check-in closes 11:30am
Unrated Y14 Mixed Saber: Check-in closes 1:30pm


Doors open one hour before close of check-in.


Future dates for the Cup:

#3: 3/7 and Point standings announced at this mid-way point.
#4: 4/9
#5: 5/21
#6: 6/11 and Trophies and Medals awarded for the Cup

Registration:

$15 (Registration fee waved for IFA members)
Fee per event: $25

Preregistration closes on 03/01/2017. Email the organizer if you want to join after that date.

$50 for registration at the door


One round of pools with 100% promoted followed by direct elimination bouts. No fence-off for third place. Medals will be awarded to top 4 in each event and ribbons to rest up to 8th place. Event is officially sanctioned by South Jersey Division of USFA.

2016-17 USFA Competitive membership is required. Please bring membership card or printed out proof from your profile on the USFencing Railstation: https://www.railstation.org/usfencing/Login.aspx?Redirect=Profile.aspx?returnurl=default.aspx. To join/renew USA Fencing membership visit: http://www.usfencing.org/page/show/698115-individuals. If no proof of membership you must complete and pay for USA Fencing membership. Infinity Fencing Alliance is a 3300 sq. ft. facility with wooden floors that are easy on the knees and ankles, 6 FIE size regulation strips with state-of-the-art computerized scoring machines, and free Wifi. We have a waiting area for parents, an excellent restaurant next door, and several good restaurants and convenience stores within 2 miles. The facility has excellent parking, and plenty of coffee, water, and Gatorade for a nominal fee.


SPECTATORS:
Everybody taking part in or present at a fencing competition must remain orderly and must not disturb the smooth running of the competition. At no time is anyone allowed to criticize the Officials or their decisions, to insult them or to attempt to influence them in any way. Coaches and spectators are allowed to give advice to fencers, but in all situations, coaches and spectators must not disturb the order of the bout. The referee and/or the Bout Committee can decide to expel from the competition venue, with or without warning, any person who by gesture, attitude or language disturbs the good order or smooth running of the tournament.

From NJ Turnpike:
Exit 2, then Route 322 West toward the Cmd. Barry Bridge, then make a left onto Swedesboro-Paulsboro Rd (approximately 2 miles from the NJ Turnpike).

Best ice cream outside of Philly and Princeton's The Bent Spoon: Latteria. Handmade ice cream, from locally sourced and organic ingredients, and excellent coffee. Highly recommend!

Authentic Mexican cuisine: Restaurante Colosio (this really is hidden gem in this area)
