Tournament Eligibility

Event eligibility is determined by 2017-18 USA Fencing birth year requirements only (not specific day/month). All entrants' age/point eligibility will be verified prior to the tournament, and any ineligible fencers will be notified and removed from the "who's preregistered" list.

***Parents/guardians should come prepared with ONE of the following in case the fencer�s age
needs verification for eligibility purposes or submit one of the following to information@usfencing.org:
1. A government issued photo ID with date of birth included
2. A copy of birth certificate
3. Passport
To avoid bringing this documentation, USA Fencing has an age verification process.
Current Verification Process:
An athlete can submit a copy of their birth certificate or passport to the National Office via email (information@usfencing.org), mail or fax and they will verify the DOB in the database. Once the date of birth has been verified, it is indicated on permanent and temporary membership cards.
Tournament Format:
=============
All events will be one round of pools with 100% promotion to direct eliminations tableau. No fence off for 3rd place for individual events.
Equipment Check:
============
-Y10 fencers must fence with blades no longer than 32.5 inches. (Size 0 or 2)
-Must have at least two working weapons and two body cords present on-strip.
-Full USA Fencing regulation uniform required.
Medals:
====
Awards will be given to the top 8 finishers in each event.

Waiver:
======
A signed waiver of Liability is required.
including that photography,filming, recording or any other form of media of the athlete during the tournament can be used by the host organization and USA Fencing.
Photography and filming is allowed, however NO flash photography is allowed near ongoing competitions.
Preregistration opens on 10/14/2017.
