More Info
Central California Divisional Y14, Division 2/3 and Veterans Summer National Qualifiers

This tournament is the qualification path for Central California fencers who wish to compete in the Division 2 or Division 3 Summer National events and who have not already qualified for Div 1A/2/3 through a ROC event or respective NAC's. This Div 2/3 event qualifies fencers for both Div 2 and Div 3 championship events, based on placement and rating of the fencers. Also, veterans qualify by participating in this event.

The Y14 Qualifier is an event for Y14 fencers who wish to qualify for the Y14 Summer National Championship and have not already done so through the NAC/SYC/RYC events.

The top 25% qualify in each event with a minimum of 3 fencers qualifying. In case of 12 or fewer participants, there will be fence-off for 3rd place.

Open only on to Central California Division Fencers with a C, D, E or U and current competitive USFA membership. As this is a National Championship Qualifier, fencers must be US citizens or permanent US residents to participate in this tournament and the Summer National Championships. Your USA Fencing membership must indicate Central California Division and that you represent the USA.

Please bring your USFA membership card and a government issued ID to verify your eligibility to fence in this event in case it is not yet verified by the USFA.

Competition Format

One round of seeding pools with 100% promotion to direct elimination; for 12 or fewer fencers, third place qualifying spot will be fenced off.

The Y14 events are for birth years 2003-2006, unless the fencer is on the National Youth 12 Point List as of the entry deadline for this tournament.

"Senior" refers to a USFA requirement that all fencers participating in open events must have birth years of 2004 and earlier or have Junior national points.

National age eligibility requirements will be enforced; however, fencers with points in the next lower age category who do not otherwise meet age eligibility are allowed to fence; e-mail us to request addition to the competition. As askFred will not be able to accept the prepregistartion and payment, please bring a check with the competition fees to the tournament with the fee per schedule below (based on the date of your request).
