This tournament is designed to introduce Y10, Y12, Y14 fencers to competition in a safe, professional and positive environment. The series is meant to be a fencers introduction to how a tournament works and what is to be expected.

USA Fencing Non-Competitive Membership is Required although a Competitive Membership is recommended. https://member.usfencing.org/membership-types

Guidelines:
Doors will open 9am.
Fencers should arrive 1 hour before the "reg. close" time listed on the "Who is coming?" page of askFred.

Each Event needs a minimum of 3 fencers to be held.
All events are Non-Sanctioned (No Ratings will be awarded).

Fencers will need their own equipment to fence with electronic scoring equipment. If you do not have your own, please ask your club to borrow if you do not already have your own equipment.

Required Equipment:
~ 2 working weapons
~ 2 body cords
~ 2 mask cords (Foil and Saber)
~ chest guard (required for women, optional for men)
~ plastron (under arm protector)
~ fencing jacket
~ glove (Saber Require FIE 800N)
~ Mask
~fencing knickers (britches/pants)
~socks must completely cover the area of the leg below the knickers to the shoes.

Fees: $20/Event

Awards will be give to the top 8 fencers.

Referees:
Older, more experienced, Competitive Fencers will help with Refereeing to gain experience and to improve their refereeing skills.
