USFA Rules and Membership:
This is qualifying event for Y10 and Y12 for 2004 Summer National Championships.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Youth fencers who plan to compete in this RYC as their qualifying path for Summer National should send in their entry prior to the entry deadline (May 27th) with a note stating that they are registered for the El Paso Regional. Their entry will be held until the results of the El Paso RYC are received. The complete results will immediately be sent to USFA by tournament organizers.
USFA rules will be enforced. Youth 10 fencers must use No. 2 or 0 blades. All fencers must be members of the USFA. You will be asked to show your membership card or other proof of membership to the registration committee. USFA membership forms will be available at the tournament.
Tournament Organization:
Initial seeding will be based on National Rating, RYC points to date and time spend fencing. One round of pool will be fenced; 100% up to DE's of best 2 out of 3 five touches bouts. Initial seeding, seeding after pools and final placements will be posted in the venue. Fencers are responsible for verifying and signing their pool and DE sheets. Changes will not be made after fencing commences. Mask and body cords will be subject to equipment control.
Schedule and Registration:
Registration will open at 7:00 am each day. Registration times indicate close of registration. Fencers should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to close of registration. Check-in is required on both days. Fencing will begin as soon as possible after the close of registration.

Directions: From EP International Airport and nearby hotels take Airway Blvd and follow Airport Rd toward north.
Airport Rd. change name to Fred Wilson Av. (Planeport) as you drive west.
At the Intersection of Fred Wilson Av. and Marshall Rd. turn north (right turn).
Marshall Rd intersects with Railroad Dr. Driving will take 3.1 miles to get to Nations-Tobin.
Nations-Tobin will be on your left. If you get to Hondo Pass Dr. you have gone too far north.
