When you see Rice Stadium on your left, you are passing the free visitor parking (Entrance 10). To reach the visitor parking nearest the gym, take the next left onto University Blvd. Turn left at the next light onto the Rice campus (Entrance 8) and follow the road, which will bend right. When the tennis stadium is on the right, the nearest visitor parking is on the left. The gymnasium main entrance (a row of 12 doors) faces the street beyond the tennis stadium (see http://www.rice.edu/maps/parking.html). Lightweight or wheeled gear bags are suggested, especially if using the distant free parking. For maps (and any last minute parking opportunities), see http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~rfc/VB/dir.html.

Read what lodging Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music suggests (http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~musi/graduate/hotels.html) for their visitors. Also: Motel 6 Astrodome, 3223 S. Loop W., 713-664-6425 or La Quinta Astrodome, 9911 Buffalo Spdwy, 713-668-8082.
