The tournament is Wisconsin sanctioned.
$40 per event up until the deadline: 10/25/2019, $55 after the deadline.
$30 for the CLINIC and MIXED WEAPON TEAM TOURNAMENT
Welcome to the second year of The Margherita Guzzi Vincenti Cup!
This tournament is a Wisconsin sanctioned tournament, a great and strong event to start the season with. Come join us!
This year all the individual competitions will be on Saturday October 26th, while a special CLINIC and a MIXED WEAPON TEAM TOURNAMENT will be held on Sunday October 27th.

SCHEDULED EVENTS AND STARTING TIMES ON SUNDAY 10/27/19
On Sunday October 27th 2019 a unique CLINIC will be offered from 9am to 4pm. Come and join us: Abbas Fadel, 3 times Olympian and certified Maître, will prepare fencers for competitions through specific drills, bouting, opponent control, situational bouting, and instruction.
At 12pm a unique MIXED TEAM and MIXED WEAPON friendly tournament will take place.
Here are the rules:
1) Teams will be formed by 2 people (teams can have two males, two females, or one male and one female)
2) Teams will have one epee fencer and one foil fencer
3) The epee fencer of a team will only fence against the epee fencer of another team, the same applies to the foil fencer
4) Teams will fence up to 10 touches (two separate 5 touch bouts will take place, every bout will be up to 3 minutes long)
5) For every match against another team the starter fencer (either epeeist or foilist) will be randomly drawn
6) The first fencer can fence up to 5 touches in the first bout, while the second fencer can fence more touches if it’s needed to get to the 10 final touches
IF INTERESTED IN JOINING THE SUNDAY CLINIC AND MIXED WEAPON TEAM EVENT, PLEASE REGISTER IN EITHER THE MIXED EPEE OR MIXED FOIL ON OCTOBER 27TH. The cost is $30.
DEADLINES:
Preregistration opens on 07/29/2019.
Preregistration closes on 10/19/2019.
FEES AND REQUIREMENTS: the cost per event is $40 BEFORE the deadline, $55 AFTER the deadline. The cost of the Sunday clinic and mixed weapon team tournament is $30 BEFORE the deadline, $45 AFTER the deadline. All fencers must have a valid and current USFA membership.
