The Second Annual "Comal Classic" Texas High School Fencing Tournament!
This is the first of two high school tournaments organized by the Texas High School Fencing Committee.

Fees:
Registration - $20
Individual Event: $20
Team Event Registration: $40 (For the entire team)
Late/Walk-In Registration Fees: Double
Please make checks out to "MECHS Fencing Club".
Individuals registered for an individual event in one weapon may not register for an event in a different weapon. (ie John Doe is registered for Men's Foil. He cannot then register for Men's Epee.) This is done to save time.
Events:
Junior Men's Foil - 8am
Junior Women's Foil - 9am
Junior Men's Epee - 10am
Junior Women's Epee - 11am
Junior Men's Team Foil - 1pm
Junior Women's Team Foil - 2pm
Note: Order of events are subject to change based on number of entrants. Please check FRED regularly.
Note: The Epee events may be merged into a Mixed event if there are not enough registrants in one or both events. If this occurs, close of registration will be at 11am.
Team Event: The team event will follow a modified relay format; 15 touch AvA, BvB, CvC. 3 Fencers and an Alternate are allowed per team.
Equipment Check:
Mask, Glove, Body Cord (1x), lame'.
Conductive Foil Masks are NOT required for this event!
Long pants or knickers are required, as are athletic shoes.
USA Fencing Non-Competitive Membership ($10) or better is required for this event. Membership can be purchased here: https://member.usafencing.org/signup
PROOF OF AGE
Fencers in all events must show proof of age at registration, in one of these formats:
- USFA card showing date of birth with VERFIED:YES
- copy of birth certificate or passport
- government photo ID showing date of birth
Note about proof of age: it is a good idea to contact the USFA and provide them proof of age; then the USFA will mark your membership as "Verified:Yes" on your USFA card, and you won't have to bother with additional forms of proof of age any longer.
