Mile High 3 Weapon Team Tournament @ DFCAug 8, 2020
Mask required tournament outdoors! C'mon out for a fun start to the season with this 3 weapon team tournament. Your team needs 1 fencer for each weapon, and must include 1 female fencer and 1 male fencer. $45 fee per team. See More Info for instructions
This year the Mile High Team Tournament will be held outdoors in DFC's parking lot! Facemasks and social distancing are required!
The Mile High Team Tournament is a fun team event where each team consists of a foil fencer, an epee fencer and a sabre fencer. Each team must have one male fencer and one female fencer. You will need to be a member of US Fencing to compete, but you only need have a non-competitive level membership. Cost per team: $45. All procedes will go do the Colorado Wheelchair Fencing Foundation!
Check in will close at 6:00 PM.
Format is a relay. Teams will be seeded into a direct elimanation tableau. Each team member will fence the other team's representative in their weapon, i.e. your epeeist will fence the epeeist on the other team. Just like a normal Team bout, first to a certain number wins! 15 touches is the goal.
This is always a good time, and the members of the winning team will have their names put on the Mile High Team Trophy. Also, cookies.
Please form a team before preregistration ends and email your team name, club, and team members' names and weapons to frontdesk@denverfencingcenter.com Remember that each team must have 1 foil, 1 epee, and 1 saber fencer, and must have at least 1 female and 1 male on the team.
If you would like to fence but you're having trouble finding a team, email frontdesk@denverfencingcenter.com with your information and tell John you would like to be a floater.
