Come join us in our newly air conditioned facility for the annual Coastal Clash! This tournament will have sanctioned, rating-restricted events for foil and epee, and an unsanctioned youth foil event (beginner friendly!). Awards will be given to the top eight finalists in each event. For the unsanctioned youth event additional awards will be given to the top placed fencers for each typical age bracket (Y10, Y12, Y14) outside of the top eight finalists.
PROOF OF VACCINATION or NEGATIVE COVID TEST REQUIRED
The Virginia Division of USA Fencing requires proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test for all fencers, parents, volunteers, and USFA Professional members for an event to be sanctioned by the Virginia Division.
Confirmation of vaccination or negative COVID test will occur as you walk into the venue. No one without proof will be allowed into the venue during the sanctioned events, no exceptions. Negative COVID test results (PCR or Rapid) cannot be more than 72 hours old from the day of the event.
USA Fencing’s venue mask mandate is also still in effect: all participants in USA Fencing sanctioned events, including coaches, athletes, spectators, and staff, MUST wear a facemask that covers mouth and nose at all times, including during competition.
EVENT FEES & SCHEDULE
Sanctioned event fees: $30 per fencer.
Unsanctioned event fees: $20 per fencer.
Event fees must be paid in advance. After you register we will email you an invoice that you can pay online (be sure to check your spam folder, just in case). Unpaid registrations will be deleted after one week or after the registration close date of 11/05/2021, whichever comes first. Requests to be added to the event after close of registration MAY BE DECLINED, due to space or referee limitations.
