FRED Announces the PDX Earn Your E Saber Spring 2022 Event
Earn your first saber rating. Must be born in 2008 or earlier and a unrated competitive member of the US Fencing. Full regulation gear required. Join us for a great tournament! Be sure you have renewed your USA Fencing Competitive membership. Pre-register and save! Registration fee:$25.00, event fee $15.00 (total $40.00). Late at the door registration fee $35.00, event fee $25.00 (total $60.00) - Pre-registration closes 05/20/21. PAY via the free ZELLE app TO email: office@pdxfencing.com You can also mail a check, come into the club to pay, or phone in your credit card. Once payment is received we will confirm your entry promptly. Tournament is limited to 25 participants per event. Awards to the top 4.

Full regulation uniform required, including underarm protector, knickers and long socks. No Hair covering the Lame! All fencers must have a minimum of 2 bodycords, 2 mask cords and 2 sabers at the strip with them.
EQUIPMENT CHECK will be open on Friday from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m, and on Saturday from 1:30. ALL PDX CLUB MEMBERS should have their equipment checked ON Friday May 20!!
Event format is one round of pools, 100% promotion to direct elimination. Awards for the top 4.
Open to fencers born in 2008 or earlier.
Only one adult may accompany one participant - both must wear face coverings at all times, including while fencing, regardless of vaccination status. Fencers are required to salute after each bout, but may tap blades in lieu of a handshake.
Mask Mandate
As announced in October 2020, all participants in USA Fencing sanctioned events, including coaches, athletes, spectators, and staff, MUST wear a facemask that covers the mouth and nose at all times, including competition.
Spectators
In order to limit the number of people in the building, each fencer will be allowed one accompanying person. No additional spectators will be allowed. All requirements listed below will apply to all entering the venue.
Proof of Vaccination
Individuals who have completed a COVID vaccine series (Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, and AstraZeneca only) 14 days prior to arrival at the venue will NOT need to obtain a negative PCR test result, but they must provide proof of vaccination daily upon entrance into the venue. Proof of vaccination must be presented to the staff members at registration for verification.
COVID-19 Testing
All participants in the tournament who have not completed one of the COVID-19 vaccine series listed above at least 14 days prior to the start of the tournament must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result in order to enter the facility. This includes athletes and staff as well as all coaches and spectators. The COVID-19 PCR test must be taken no more than 72 hours prior to the start of travel and must be shown daily to enter the venue. Proof of your negative COVID-19 test result must be presented to the staff members at registration for verification.
