Format:
At the OCC: Up to 4 electric strips can be available at the gym for practice. The goal is for fencers to be able to have fun, get experience fencing others and practice/develop the weapons they wish under bouting conditions. The practice will be self-refereed and managed and there is lots of opportunities to help develop your refereeing skills as well. If desired, fencers may set up a formal round robin for rotational purposes. Fencers are responsible for their own warm-up activities. At the DESF Verona Fencing Studio: 1-2 strips can be available for practice.

Please be considerate of other fencers in rotating fencing if there are larger numbers. Suggestions:
Smaller numbers of fencers: 2 5-touch bouts, then rotate or 1 15-touch bout, then rotate.
Larger numbers of fencers: 1 15-touch bout, then rotate or set up a round robin rotation.

Equipment:
Fencers should bring all electric equipment needed to fence. DESF has limited amount of equipment to loan. Please contact ahead of time to request any fencing equipment needed for the practice.

----------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT!! COVID-19 Procedures:
The State of Maine (CDC) recommends that immune-compromised individuals wear masks indoors. USA Fencing now has announced that masks are no longer required for attendees :fencers and persons (including parents and spectators).
