The Keystone State Games - Fencing event is coming back to York! Spread the word!
You will need to present your valid 2022-2023 USFA membership to register and compete. We cannot guarantee use of a computer for renewal. You may renew on your smartphone or other personal device prior to presenting at registration. You need a current USFA membership to preregister on AskFred. Please ensure all information is up-to-date in both AskFred and USA Fencing before competing. We want to move people through the tournament registration process as quickly as possible.
We have a Mailchimp signup available for anyone who wants updates. We're doing this since AskFRED's email service is down. Subscribe at http://eepurl.com/iqR7hs . This subscription is completely optional. We will delete this email list after we send our final tournament communications.

NOTE ON COLLEGIATE COMPETITIVE MEMBERSHIPS:
Prior to presenting at the Bout Committee (BC) to register, any fencer with a Collegiate Competitive Membership must first present at the Membership table (located next to the BC) to confirm the status of their membership.
To preserve the sanctioning of Keystone State Games (KSG), any fencer presenting to register with a Collegiate Competitive Membership in a "pending" status will not be able to participate unless the membership is upgraded to Competitive. This upgrade can be done on a personal device.
Those in a "pending" status who refuse to upgrade to a Competitive Membership at the event will not be allowed to participate in KSG.
Any discrepancies between the USFA and a fencer's membership status will be handled by the fencer. It is the fencer's responsibility to contact the USFA and request a refund.
Please endeavor to preregister for all of your events online as to provide the Organizers with a more accurate count of participants.
POINTS OF ORDER:
This is a USFA sanctioned event.
The bout committee reserves the option of combining the men's and women's events into mixed events if fewer than 6 competitors register for one of the single-sex events. Men and women will still medal separately in mixed events.
Masks with exchangeable bibs are allowed. If the inspection mark is placed on the bib, be sure not to change out your inspection mark!
This fencing year in particular saw several rule changes. Fencers are responsible for knowing and abiding by all rules.
All gloves will be checked by the armorer for integrity of material. No tears or holes will be permitted (except for those that allow for the body cord).
For safety and insurance purposes, fencers and coaches must wear the full fencing uniform while participating in drills, lessons, or warm-ups with weapon in hand. Failure to comply is a Group 3 penalty.
KSG charges a $5 admission fee for spectators (anyone not competing, officiating, or volunteering). Spectators include family members and coaches.
