The UVIC Fencing Club welcomes everyone to our third ever NAN-SANG HO LEGACY OPEN in the beautiful Performance Gym at the UVIC Centre for Athletics Recreation and Special Abilities (CARSA).

Events are MIXED EPEE and MIXED FOIL. All events are unsanctioned, and gender mixed. There will be medals for all events. Note the minimum age requirement is 16 and older.

Please pre-register on askFRED by midnight, November 24, 2023. We will download the pre-registration file into Engarde to save data entry time in the morning. Registration confirmation at the venue (CARSA) closes a half hour before starting times.

Event starting times:
• Mixed Epee 10:30 am (confirm registration by 10:00)
• Mixed Foil 11:30 am (confirm registration by 11:00)

Registration fees are $20 for the first event and $10 for the second event. Late registration fees (after Nov 24 pre-registration deadline) are an additional $5 for each event. Note: we cannot accept credit cards, so please bring cash.

Please wear full fencing uniform (min 350CE), including breeches or pants (not shorts), weapon-appropriate mask, plastron (required for epee), chest protector, knee-high socks, and non-marking runners. We will NOT be requiring a bib lame in the foil event.

Affordable Parking is available in the CARSA parkade or directly outside the building. Events will conclude in time to get you home before the last ferry.
