FRED Announces the WWD Div II/Div III/Y14/U16 National Qualifiers
Dates: April 3-4, 2004
Location: Salle Auriol Seattle, 300 Westlake Avenue, Suite 400, Seattle, WA 98109
This event is the WWD's qualifier for the Div II, Div III, Y14, and U16 events at Summer Nationals. You must qualify through this event to attend Nationals.
Only members of the USFA Western Washington Division are eligible to participate in this tournament.
Eligibility for Division II events:
- Fencers must be born in 1991 or earlier and must be classified "C" or lower.
Eligibility for Cadet(U-16) events:
- Fencers must be born in 1988, 1989, 1990, or 1991.
Eligibility for Youth-14 events:
- Fencers must be born in 1989, 1990, 1991, or 1992.
All competitors must be competitive members of the USFA Western Washington Division (no "Fence for Fun") Proof of USFA membership will be required of all participants at check-in. Please bring your current USFA membership card. You may join or renew your USFA membership at the door.
Full USFA regulation uniform is required, including plastron, knickers, and knee-length socks. No jeans or sweatpants allowed.
All weapons will be scored electrically. We will inspect and mark masks, lames, and body cords. You can also get your equipment checked prior to the event at the following times:
- Thursday, 4/1 at Rain City Fencing Center from 7:30 - 9pm
- Friday, 4/2 at Salle Auriol Seattle from 8 - 9pm

The WWD is looking for qualified directors to assist in directing pools and DE bouts. If you can volunteer on one or both days, you will be paid a $40 per diem and get a free lunch! Fencers participating in the event that help direct after they are done fencing are eligible for a $20 per diem. Please contact Dan Berke at dberke@nwlink.com if you would like to volunteer.
