Please note: When designing the schedule, one of our primary goals is to enable fencers to participate in either multiple weapons in one age category or multiple age categories in one weapon. It is impossible to design the perfect schedule to enable both in all cases!

Please note that unless 5 or more athletes are competing in both the Men’s and Women’s events for a Youth Age Group, the events will be fenced as single mixed event, per RYC guidelines. In this case, awards will be given separately to each gender.

•Youth 14: 1995-1998, or on Youth 12 NRH List
•Youth 12 event 1997-2000, or on Youth 10 NRP List

ENTRY FEES
Please note – your registration is NOT complete without payment of all required fees.
Registration Opens September 1, 2009.
Early Bird Registration (9/01 - 10 pm 9/8): $25
Regular Registration (10:01 pm 9/08- 10 pm 11/4): $35 Extended for one week!
Late Registration (10:01 pm 10/28-10:00 pm 11/11): $55
At the door: $75
Incomplete registrations will be deleted from askfred on 11/11. Times listed above are Central Standard Time.
Event Fees: $15 per event for all events
Top 3 finalists from the 2008-2009 SOUTHWEST SECTION CIRCUIT CUP POINT STANDINGS (not the Regional Youth Circuit points list) receive free entry into the event for which they were a finalist if registered by 10/28 (otherwise, late fees will also be due). Indicate on the registration page. Only check this option if you qualify, otherwise your registration will be incomplete and you will have to pay the full at the door registration fees.

$10 of the registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. Any requests for refunds due to outstanding and unusual circumstances are at the discretion of the organizers and will be processed after the tournament.
Host Hotel
A block of rooms is reserved at Holiday Inn Express Downtown Forth Worth. Located at 1111 W. Lancaster Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76102, the Hotel is approximately 1 mile from the venue. It is brand new and is of extremely high quality for the price. For Reservations please call 817-698-9595 and refer to the Wang Fencing Tournament room block (Group Code: WNG). Room price is $119, plus tax, and includes FULL HOT BREAKFAST, FREE WI-FI, FREE PARKING AND FREE SHUTTLE TO THE VENUE OR ANYWHERE ELSE IN DOWNTOWN. The room block will be held through October 30th. Note: by breakfast, we mean hot and full - not just muffins and coffee, but eggs, fruit, pancakes, etc. They will be serving breakfast from 7am - 10am on Saturday and Sunday.
Tournament Organization
All events will be fenced electrically on appropriately grounded METALLIC STRIPS! Masks, body cords AND LAMES! will be subject to equipment control. Sabre cuffs are required. Original seeding for SSCC events will utilize standard seeding protocols for the Southwest Section Circuit Cup, RYC events will be seeded according to RYC protocols. It is the responsibility of the fencer to notify the Bout Committee at the time of registration if they are on the NRPS. One round of pools will be fenced; 100% promoted to DE's of 15 touches (2 out of 3 five touch bouts for Y10 and Y12). Initial seeding, seeding after pools and final placements will be posted in the venue and fencers shall be given a minimum of 10 minutes to review these postings. Fencers are responsible for verifying the posted lists, and signing their pool and DE sheets. t is the fencer's responsibility to verify NRPS standing, club representation, at weapon rating at the time of registration. Reseeds caused by the fencer failing to do so will result in a $25 fine to the fencer, payable in cash. Organizers reserve the right to limit fencing in cross-over events in order to efficiently run the tournament.
USFA Membership
Fencers must be a USFA or FIE Member. Proof of membership is required. Pre-registered fencers will receive membership status information via askFRED email using most current USFA membership data. Age status will be checked against USFA membership data - bring proof of age if there are discrepancies. While fencers are encouraged to get memberships directly through the USFA prior to the competition, completed USFA membership forms will be accepted at the door. If you do not have proof of membership, you will be required to complete and pay for a membership. Payment for memberships is made directly to the USFA (NO CASH!); bring separate check or credit card number (preferred) for membership. Fencers under 18 years old are reminded they need the signature of a parent or guardian (not a coach) on BOTH the membership and waiver forms.
